Blue Dress loves Red Dress

Post by iSiZ

Deep Green Sea, here’s a multi-disciplinary group of artists from Athens who join heads and hearts to create. They create refined and fine-tuned multimedia projects like the ‘Art of Making’ series. In this series they show other people make things they love. It’s craftsmanship showing craftsmanship. The video in this blog shows fashion designer Samantha Sotos make a beautiful red dress.

Here’s what they have to say:

‘The ‘Art of Making’ series aspires to display and highlight people who go against the spirit of today’s pessimism and desperation. They dare to dream and create with zeal and imagination. Armed with passion for knowledge and emotion, they attempt to combine the precision of science with the elegance and resourcefulness of art. We thank them wholeheartedly for their contribution.’

Mapping reality

Video Projection Mapping is an awesome technique that transforms almost any surface into a dynamic video display. Studio Output and Marshmallow Laser Feast were asked by Sony Europe to produce this three-part amazing video-experience.

All three clips were shot in real-time, with no post-production. Using a variety of visual tricks, including Video Projection Mapping, props, and motion-tracking.

I especially like the visibility of the live actors in white suits :-) They assist the main character by moving various props around.
