Free Fall

Post by iSiZ

Felix Baumgartner’s jump to Earth from a helium balloon in the stratosphere on 14 October 2012 is inspiring the world.

He sets three world records: the record for a manned balloon flight, a parachute jump from the highest altitude and greatest free fall velocity. He set the world record for skydiving an estimated 39 kilometres reaching an estimated speed of 1,342 kilometres per hour.

We still have loads to discover in space but there’s also enough inspiration in the deep blue sea.

Check the 4 minute fiction video Free Fall of world champion freediver Guillaume Nery. He dives into the deepest blue hole in the world Dean’s Blue Hole, the Bahamas.
