Coming-of-age story against the backdrop of the 70s in France and Iran

Post by iSiZ

The animated film Persepolis is written and directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Parannaud. Produced in 2007 it tells the story of a young girl as she grows up in Iran and France in the 70s.

I love the way you get an impression on her life against the backdrop of the 70s in France and the Iranian Revolution. The animated black and white drawings shows her perspective on life in a very original way. If you haven’t already, you must see Persepolis.
Below is a trailer and an interview with the director Marjane Satrapi.
